Upgraded Label Software

We have recently upgraded our label software, allowing for the printing from customers’ design templates. This will offer customers greater flexibility in branding and enhance crucial digital traceability in the chemical supply chain.

The new upgrade positions Actikem to provide a more comprehensive and high-quality service, aligning with modern market demands for sophisticated product presentation and instant information access.

The key feature of the software upgrade is the ability to print directly from customers' design templates. This allows Actikem's clients to maintain strict brand consistency across all their packaging, ensuring their products - even when repacked by Actikem, have a unified and professional look.

The upgraded software facilitates the printing of multi-coloured labels. In today's competitive markets, vibrant, multi-coloured designs are often essential for product differentiation and meeting complex regulatory standards (such as GHS pictograms, which require specific colour-coding). By bringing this capability in-house, Actikem can now deliver premium-quality, branded labels with rapid turnaround times.

In a major step toward supporting digital commerce and compliance, the upgraded system can now seamlessly integrate and print QR codes supplied by customers.

  • Direct-to-Website Links: These scannable codes can be linked directly to the customer’s website, product landing pages, or specific marketing content, instantly connecting the physical product with the customer’s digital presence.
  • Enhanced Traceability: For B2B clients, QR codes are vital for fast access to Safety Data Sheets (SDS), certificates of analysis (CoA), or batch-specific traceability information, significantly streamlining documentation for end-users and improving regulatory compliance.

Actikem confirmed that this digital capability is essential for businesses operating in sectors governed by strict labelling and data communication requirements.

‘The chemical industry is increasingly demanding high-quality, flexible, and data-rich labelling solutions,’ commented Managing Director, Andrew Mooney. ‘This software upgrade is a direct investment in our customers' success, giving them the freedom to use their own templates and leverage digital tools like QR codes. It perfectly complements our existing in-house labelling service, ensuring that every product we handle leaves our facility not just correctly labelled for compliance, but also perfectly presented to support their brand.’

Actikem’s dedicated Chemical Labelling Service is an integral part of its bespoke service offering, which includes chemical blending, repacking, and manufacturing. The company remains committed to combining professional services with logistical cost savings and complete confidentiality.
